I am gonna be taking vacation in June, I am gonna pull the Axle Ive had for 11 years now out and start getting it set up the way I want it.

The down side is its and empty housing. so it needs every thing. gears, carrier, locker, axle shafts, and knuckles. Ill take some pics as soon as I get the axle. dug out.

Current plan is James duff SAS parts with a 4.56 gears lockers and disc brakes, I already have my rear end with 4.56 gears ready to go in the truck, the 93 is running I have been driving it now to make sure all is well with it, new Transmission, new clutch and completely resealed motor.

Do you have the bearing caps? What year did the axle come out of? Need any help looking for anything specific? Which outers are you planning on? High steer?

Im still thinking of what knuckles I want. I do want a high steering set up. This Axle is out of a 79 high pinion that has been cut down. I am pretty sure I still have the bearing caps but I might get new ones any way.

From what I've read, you'd want to keep the bearing caps, as they are matched to the wear on the housing itself. That doesn't mean it wasn't faulty info, of course.

Are you trying to keep it all Ford? 5 on 5.5?
I think the cheapest high steer option would probably be Chevy outers, but you might not be open to that.

Trying to stay 5 on 5.5 since my rear axle has the dutchman alloy axle shafts with 5 on 5.5 already. I was thinking of still doing the chevrolet outers with the ford rotors from what I have read it will work. I have one chevy knuckle already I would just need the other side.

Cool. Which calipers would you need with the Ford rotors?

I think you use the chevy calipers but not sure still doing my home work on that. I knew what it took to do it in the past but my memory is fuzzy now.
